MegaTokyo Character List

Some character pictures and descriptions stolen from the Who's Who in MegaTokyo page by Erin Gaston.
Names of Japanese characters are in the Japanese order, family name first, given name last. Note: I've kept the character descriptions relatively spoiler-free for the benefit of people who haven't read the entire MT archives yet and so that it's less work keeping them up to date. Even so, the best way to learn who these people are is to just read the comics.

Major characters

Piro
Piro
An avid manga/anime fan, especially shoujo and dating sim games. Horrible when it comes to real girls.
Largo
Largo
A hardcore gamer who has an over-active imagination (or does he?), Largo gets into all kinds of trouble while in Japan... much to Piro's dismay.
Nanasawa Kimiko
Nanasawa Kimiko
Kimiko is an aspiring voice actress who has little confidence in herself or in her abilities. Also works as a waitress at Anna Miller's, and is Erika's roommate.
Hayasaka Erika
Hayasaka Erika
Erika works at MegaGamers, where she wears cosplay outfits everyday. She's known to use violence with guys who invade her personal space.
Tohya Miho
Tohya Miho
Darkly cute, Miho is perhaps the most enigmatic character in Megatokyo. Is she really (as Largo fears) the queen of the zombies, or is she just misunderstood?
Ping
Ping
Ping is a prototype of the Sony SEVS-44936, a new Playstation 2 accessory that will allow the player to interact with the main girl in any visual novel or dating sim. She's very real, and doesn't handle rejection well at all.
Sonoda Yuki
Sonoda Yuki
A real, honest to goodness Japanese Schoolgirl. Yuki finds herself mixed up with Piro and company after discovering Piro's incredible drawing abilities.
Dom
Dom
Went to college with Largo, and now works for Sega. Very competitive with his best friend/arch-rival, Ed, you'll never see Dom without a mini-arsenal of guns.
Ed
Ed
Dom's best friend/arch-rival. Ed works for Sony, and seems to always get the raw end of the deal during any adventure with Dom and Largo. His appearance changes a few times over the course of the comic.
Seraphim
Seraphim
As Piro's conscience, Seraphim has her work cut out for her. She has to deal with his fascination with Japanese Schoolgirls, and his plight of being stranded in a foreign country.
Boo
Boo
All the temp agency had, Boo is Seraphim's new assistant. A hamster with strap-on wings, Boo has been acting as Largo's conscience... and doing the best job he can
Junpei
Junpei
Junpei is a l33t ninja-for-hire. He idolizes Largo, who he calls the l33t Master.

Chiba Shigeo
A popular voice actor who knows how to make the girls happy.

Fanboys

Moeko
Moeko
The main character of the magical girl anime "Girl Phase". Her voice actress is still very popular even though she retired.
Fanboy leader
Fanboy leader
We never got his name, but this guy was the base commander, if you will, for the fanboy reconnaissance mission. He also fought Largo's security measures using a Moeko avatar.
Kobayashi
Kobayashi
Kobayashi is the fanboy who made the most progress during the reconnaissance mission
Man Moeko
Man Moeko
Sure, he just looks like an obsessed fanboy, but wait until he puts on his Moeko kigurumi costume. Then he's downright scary.

Sonoda Masamichi
Yuki's father. A member of the Tokyo Police Cataclysm Division, Inspector Sonoda deals with all the scheduled, and unscheduled, disasters that occur in Tokyo.
Sonoda Meimi
Sonoda Meimi
Yuki's mom. The stay-at-home type, Meimi is very observant and is pretty quick to tell what is going on with her daughter. She also has a Mysterious past.
Sonoda Yuuji
Sonoda Yuuji
Yuki's older brother. He teases Yuki, as brothers often do.
Sonoda Hitoshi
Sonoda Hitoshi
Masamichi's brother. He's not a current character, but he played an important role in the past when he broke a certain girl's heart.
Kurabayashi Asako
Kurabayashi Asako
One of Yuki's friends from school. Very cheerful, blunt at times, and so energetic it hurts just to watch her.
Mami
Mami
Another of Yuki's school friends. More level-headed than Asako. She's quick to point out when Yuki does something wrong, but is fiercely defensive of her as well.

Consciences

Asmodeus
Asmodeus
If Seraphim is the angel on your shoulder, Asmodeus is the devil on the other shoulder. He shows up in Japan to wreak potential havoc on Piro.
Belphegor
Belphegor
Asmodeus's cat and partner. Like Boo, he has strap on wings.

On the other hand, this sister has a cheery optimism and thinks Piro can embrace his faults and still find happiness.

Nurse Sugawara
The school nurse at Shiritsu Daitou High School, where Miho and Ping are students. Seems like a nice lady, and she attends to Miho when she gets ill.

Probably principal of Shiritsu Daitou High School. One of the guys in charge, anyway.
Yuki's teacher
Yuki's teacher
This teacher sometimes has to deal with Yuki's daydreaming or her friends' overzealous attempts to cheer her up.
Junko
Junko
A student in "Great Teacher" Largo's English class. Junko is his biggest critic. She doesn't like Miho very much either.

Misc

Yanagisawa
Yanagisawa
The boss at MegaGamers. He is intimidated by Erika, but is highly sympathetic to her as well.
Tsubasa
Tsubasa
Tsubasa is Piro's friend in Japan, and let him and Largo crash in his little apartment before he took off to America. Friendly to a fault.
L33t D00d
L33t D00d
Known only as the l33t d00d, this guy looks kinda like a raver and speaks almost exclusivly in advanced l33t. He shows up when Largo finds himself getting challenged to an arcade game duel.
Head Ninja
Head Ninja
Junpei's boss, leader of the Tokyo ninja.
Kenji
Kenji
A DJ at the Cave of Evil dance club, and a friend of Miho's.

Rent-A-Zilla
Rent-A-Zilla
If you ever need a giant lizard at an hourly rate, Rent-A-Zilla is it. And the best thing is, he charges in pork rinds.
Gameru
Gameru
A giant turtle with a drinking problem that periodically goes on a rampage in Tokyo. What more could you ask for?

Piro's bag
Piro's bag
Piro's Yakpak bookbag. He keeps his sketchbook and other stuff in it. It causes some trouble when he loses it.
Necrowombicon
Necrowombicon
A tome of great evil. Maybe.

Staff

Fred
Fred
The artist himself, in comic form. Sometimes we get to see the predicaments he and Sarah get themselves into.
Sarah
Sarah
She does still have angel wings, you just can't see them.
Shirt Guy Dom
Shirt Guy Dom
Fred's way of "torturing" the fans by letting Dom write and draw strips. Shirt Guy Dom is, essentially, Dom as a stick figure. Often accompanied by stick figure Ed and others. Bad drawings, bad jokes, good fun to be had by all.
